The short version. StreamSwap is free, given to you as-is, and only does what you ask: copy a playlist to a destination you've authorized. Your relationship with Spotify, YouTube Music, TIDAL, and Apple Music is still with them, governed by their terms.
These terms ("Terms") govern your use of StreamSwap, available at https://streamswap.app ("StreamSwap", "the service", "we", "us"). By using StreamSwap you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
StreamSwap reads the track list of a public playlist on one streaming service, matches each track on a destination streaming service, and — only after you authorize it — creates a new playlist on the destination containing the matched tracks. The service does not delete, modify, or otherwise touch your existing playlists or library.
The service is free and has no sign-up. You authenticate to the destination streaming service via that service's own OAuth flow each time you run a transfer.
StreamSwap depends on APIs operated by third parties — Spotify, YouTube / Google, TIDAL, and Apple. These services may change their APIs, rate limits, content libraries, or terms at any time, which may cause matches to be imperfect or transfers to fail. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies:
Track matching uses fuzzy text similarity, ISRC where available, and per-platform metadata. Some tracks may not exist on the destination, may match an alternate version (live, remix, remastered), or may fail to match entirely. StreamSwap surfaces a confidence score and lets you review and change any match before the transfer runs. We make no guarantee of completeness or accuracy.
Music, cover art, and metadata served through the platforms belong to their respective rights-holders and the platforms that license them. StreamSwap holds no rights to any of that content and merely passes references between platforms on your behalf. The StreamSwap name, logo, and original code are the property of the project author. Trademarks (Spotify, YouTube, TIDAL, Apple Music) are the property of their respective owners and are used here for descriptive purposes only.
The service is provided on a best-effort basis. We may change, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for downtime, lost transfers, or any data the platforms fail to surface to us.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or virus-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall StreamSwap or its author be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of your use of the service. The total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to USD 50, or the amount you paid to use the service in the preceding twelve months — whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StreamSwap and its author from any claim arising out of your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service operator is resident, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
